Sisi, the legendary Empress of Austria, is still an icon in the 21st century. Her lifestyle is considered contemporary even today. She also travelled independently, which was highly unconventional for princesses. By all accounts, Sisi was ahead of her time.
Public figure through the ages
Royals today are omnipresent in the media. This wasn’t always the case. Sisi was the first truly iconic royal, and her fame has only increased over the centuries: multiple Sisi films, now along with a Netflix series in its second season, garner millions of viewers every year. She has become a part of holiday tradition too: every Christmas and New Year the original Sisi movies, starring Romy Schneider, are aired on TV. Of course, this is not to mention all the books, documentaries, museums, exhibitions and (of course) the 3 million visitors to Schönbrunn Palace each year. We think they speak for themselves.

Richard Behr started his company in 1917. He could never have imagined his small family business would one day serve Royals, Movie Stars and Celebrities. His beds and bedding products now span more than 2000 luxury hotels in over 100 countries. He kicked off a four-generation journey which led to becoming Europe's largest manufacturer of naturally filled bedding products.
